On this tour you will walk around the nearby islands, swim in the crystal clear sea, and soak up the scents of the Adriatic. A brand new speedboat is waiting for you, which will surely take you to special spots that your local skipper knows, or customize your itinerary to suit you. This tour includes Kostanj sandy beach, two small islands in the Zadar channel (Ošljak and Galevac), and the village of Preko on the larger island of Ugljan. We will stop on the islands for swimming on the beautiful sandy beaches, or you can explore the beauties of the islands.

The island Ošljak is the smallest permanently inhabited island of the Adriatic with 29 inhabitants and an area of 0,39 km2. It is only half a nautical mile away from Preko. Ošljak is an example of traditional Mediterranean architecture, with an old fishing port and the Church of St. Mary from the 6th century. The hiking trail on the island is two kilometers long, passing by a lighthouse and the remains of windmills – mills from the 16th century. In 1985, Ošljak was declared a forest park.

Preko
Ugljan is one of the most picturesque islands in the Zadar archipelago, located opposite Zadar, from which it is separated by only a few nautical miles wide Zadar canal. This ever-green island, covered with olive groves, idyllic bays, and picturesque small fishing ports, for generations, has been tied to the sea, seafaring, and fishing, and more than 2000 years of olive cultivation have left thousands of olive trees yielding an oil of exceptional quality and aroma. Along the eastern side of the island, there are fishing and tourist settlements in natural bays, the most famous of which are Preko, Ugljan, Kali, and Kukljica.

An amazing day out

We had such an amazing day out thanks to Kristijan, we met him in the morning and set off to a small inhabited island where we jumped off the boat and swam for an hour. Kristijan then offered us beers and a local liqueur as well as some figs from his garden. Off we went to the next island where he gave us the option to swim or explore, we chose the latter and walked around the island. We then went to the final stop where Kristijan gave us the option again to swim or get off on the island, he was very flexible and said we could stay as long as we wanted and he would pick us up whenever we were ready. We had lunch in the island and had a swim before meeting back up with Kristijan for the journey back. Would definitely recommend doing this, such a lovely way to explore the nearby islands of Zadar.

This was best part of our trip to Zadar. Highly recommended. Kristian was very chilled and polite person. Possibility of getting away from crowded Zadar beaches was lifesaving solution.

We had the best experience with Kristijan, he was very welcoming and took us out to see the beautiful islands. This tour is definitely a hidden gem as you get the whole boat to yourself for a reasonable price and Kristijan made it very personal. He gave us the opportunity to spend the whole afternoon on preko island, and dropped us back in zadar when we wanted. The boat was very new and had great music! I highly recommend this private boat tour. Thank you Kristijan!
